David J. Negron holds a Bachelor of Professional Arts “with distinction” from Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. After some years as a movie artist and art director, he became an instructor at the same school. In addition, he earned a B.A. degree in mathematics from Baylor University before leaving his native state of Texas. He was voted by the art director members, into the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
Negron has received many awards and recognition from numerous one man shows, exhibitions and special television appearances. He has conductec many seminars and lectures in Universities and Museums and is nationally known in the motion picture industry.
Negron has a gift for expressing a zest for life on canvas in a touching, enduring and colorful fashion. Herbert Ryman, a California artist once said of him: “… His dedicated convictions in the very best traditions of the giants in the rich heritage of the past brings an energetic, dramatic and sensitive quality to his work.”
